Lain Iwakura (Serial Experiments Lain)

This wallpaper does not reflect the theme of the anime series. It was a lot of fun to do and turned out great I think. I started out with a simple picture from the series which I put on the right of the wallpapers. It had little color to it. The sky was blank like the zoomed in version on the left. I cut out the sky and replaced it with another sky I found online. To make the new sky work though I added more color to the character and the rest of the picture to add the proper glow to everything. I also recolored the characters eyes. The left side of the picture was a simple space scene with a fiery planet (all of which I made in photoshop).

Serial Experiments Lain was a series I had a hard time getting into. I am not going to say I didn't like it but that it was weird. Not weird in a bad ass way like Evangelion either. It is very out there. If you can get it for cheap then go for it.
